Have my Mexican Lost Army troops ready for the session tomorrow. Used #armypainter acrylics for a change, with a Sepia wash to get that weathered look, and the mummified flesh.
They are nasty in #shadowsofbrimstone - NEVER stand where they can approach you in formation, those volleys kill you quickly.
Uniform I chose is based on the #mexican army of #SantaAnna 1835ish, summer colours, grenadiers. I liked the clean look.

Painting these little #FoamCore farm house #terrain bits was stupidly quick.
Heavy dry brush of antique white over the outside
Thinned brown craft paint over the wooden beams
Tinting the walls with a thinned down #ArmyPainter zealot yellow
Inside walls were painted with antique white and the floors with dark grey.
For the roofs I'm thinking making a swappable chimney/HVAC unit? We'll see if I can pull it off

My (very grown up) son turned up with a full #blackstonefortress box (sealed) and apparently muggins here is painting them… (mine are done).
Still, he’s not bothered for better than tabletop either, so I get to play with my #ArmyPainter #speedpaint . Bonus!

Painting this strange caterpillar-maggotkin-witch from #darkwater has reminded me of so many old tricks we used back in the 90s when I was cabinet painting for GW. 😇
Been a while since I did the whole Undercoat, Basecoat carefully, touch up, washes, highlights, drybrush, etc. I can see why I stopped.
Fun for one model or two, but an army? Even a couple of units? Nope. I like to play games, not wait weeks while I paint it all.
#ArmyPainter Speedpaints were a marvellous invention.
“Table ready” for GW games nights was simple for our hobbyists who wanted to play on the shop tables:
1️⃣ Three colours completely covering the model.
2️⃣ Base painted.
That was it.
I was never allowed to do that becuse I worked there and had to set an example. My old Harlequins look insane… 🤪

I introduce to you, army painter’s included swamp witch, painted according to the included paint guide (except the fire those colours were not included so were GSW)
I really like the green ooze for the cauldron content it is striking against all the muted colours it felt like a proto speed paint
Some rest in pigments shopping and some 3Dprinting brought me here
Now let’s use it (but also we have some room for more)
