one quite exciting result of buying this cheapo cd player is digging into my CD piles and seeing exactly how many Sun Ra albums I have.
Five.
I mean five seems a lot to me.
It doesn't compare to the torrent I had once which had over a hundred albums, but five is still a solid number.
It's tempting to imagine Sun Ra started off being conventionally jazzist and progressively got further out as time passed, but actually he was far far far out from the very beginning.
