The design evinced by the combination of #neoliberalism and #neofeudalism has always at its core ethos been "divide and conquer", with the ultimate goal of reinstituting overt #aristocracy via #ownership of literally everything.
We are being slowly strangled to death, and we are being told it is our own fault.
And far too many people on the putative "left" are telling us that the use of force to defend ourselves from this manifest evil is a moral wrong.

The reason why our economy is so stagnant and fragile is because #rentseeking is extracting so much of our productivity that end users are sacrificing their futures to pay the demands of rentseekers today, just to stay alive and viable.

Late Tuesday the Lords dropped objections to a bill passed by the House of Commons that removes dozens of dukes, earls, and others who inherited seats in the unelected upper chamber. The chamber currently has more than 800 members. The vast majority are now “life peers” appointed by the government, but roughly 1 in 10 members are currently hereditary peers. A previous Labour government removed most hereditary peers in 1999 but left 92 in place. The rest will leave at the end of the current session of Parliament in the spring.
