Arduino UNO Q: 5 Problems You Need to Know Before Buying

Introducing the Arduino UNO Q: because apparently, what we really needed was a #microcontroller that has an identity crisis and thinks it's a supercomputer πŸ€–πŸ’‘. It's the all-in-one toolbox that combines the power of Linux with the soul of a microcontroller, so now your blinking LEDs can finally contemplate the meaning of life πŸŒŸπŸ”„. Who knew AI could be so... blinky? πŸ™„βœ¨

terra has @arduino app lab for the uno q now

you can grab it from your app store right now! we hope you have a fun time with it and your uno q

if you'd rather have a bad time you should look at how we had to build this thing

Is this Arduino's funeral or Arduino's new birth party? either way I got one Arduino Uno Q to play, let's see if it is as cool as they claim... #arduino #arduinounoq #electronics #design #devboard

Some people are questioning why #arduinoUnoQ has a microcontroller and a CPU together in the same board. First of all, let's be clear: it's true that is not useful in all applications, but here I am to put an example.

A similar hardware approach would be industrial PCs, which are used as embedded system to run the GUI/HMI, the process control runtime, the CNC, etc.

The PC runs the heavy load such as the GUI while the MCU runs the real time tasks. This is how ET200SP Open Controller works, to put an example. Even if the CPU has a critical error, the MCU continue running and even goes to a failsafe state

As I said, this is a very particular case, other cases it's not so important. Wether you use it or not, depends on your needs

I got my #arduinounoq

I didn't even look at the dimensions when I ordered it, lol. I was honestly expecting it to be like twice this size in all three directions.
