Today I’m wrapping up all the packaging and printing I can get done for my last holiday market craft fair this weekend in Arcata, CA.

I got my bookmarks tassled & all the greeting cards I could make before running out of ink.

Now it’s time for a haircut.

While we were shooting this fantastic sign, someone from behind asked us why we’re taking photos. Turns out she’s the owner.

There has been a bar at this location since the early 1900s. Her dad bought it in 1951, and it’s been in the family ever since. We asked her what happened to the neon. “Hooligans.” She invited us to see inside.

The movie One Battle After Another filmed in many out-of-the-way birding locales I’ve visited recently including Arcata, Eureka, Lompoc and Borrego Springs.

Weird to see a 30-second scene in a car chase and realize, I’ve stood right there with binoculars.

Movie is excellent. There are a few birds seen but they are incidental to the plot.
