Zeigt her eure #OPNsense Hardware-Firewall!

Ich habe seit einigen Jahren eine OPNsense in umfangreicher Nutzung. Da die Hardware ( eine #APU4C4 bereits ein Alter erreicht hat, bei dem es keine Firmware-Updates erhält #EOL, suche ich nach einem kompakten Ersatz. Am liebsten wieder ein Hersteller aus der 'Nähe' und min 4 Ports.

Zeigt doch mal, worauf eure OPNsense läuft.

Heute ist die letzte Austausch (Reserve) #router / #firewall Hardware angekommen, diesmal eine #pcengines modell #apu4d4 .
Eigentlich wollte ich die mit #zeroshell bespielen, leider hat Fulvio Ricciardi das Projekt 01/2021eingestellt. Mal schauen was es wird.

I consider buying 1 of #Deciso's #ryzen based desktop firewalls like the #dec750 to succeed my #apu4d4 board as primary, 'cus #pfSense is suffering both it's 4 GB and speed to run both IDPS+Proxy. Wanna migrate 2 #OPNsense.

Comparable hardware doesn't have the energy efficiency of this particular platform, though is customizable (RAM, Storage).

E.g. #protectli's hardware seems nice but is Intel based and rather wasteful with electric energy.

What would you do?
