One of the machine's I've been after for ever was the Apple IIc, probably after seeing it in use on a beach in the film 2010 the year we make contact by Arthur C Clarke.
Well, I managed to get one really cheap. It arrived today & it's in excellent condition.
It's an NTSC machine but with a modern PSU so it works in the UK. Also means the composite output is colour (PAL is mono).
Now I need to learn how to use it #retroComputing #retroApple #apple2c
I just bought this.. The #retrocomputing addition is real.
It will be here in 5 days.. Just couldn't pass it up.
Anyone have an #Apple2c? I thought I had the serial cable all sorted out, but no matter what settings I try (random website says 300 baud, 8n1) I can't seem to get anything more than garbage out of it.
I'd love to know what it defaults to when you drop to the basic prompt and issue a `PR#1` as I have no software to run on it right now.
The problem could be the USB serial adapter, but I haven't the spoons to crawl under the desk and hook it to a hardware serial port at the moment.
