( If, like me, you tend to think and remember in images.) So I remember a walk along the Scheldt I reckon the whole quay has already been renovated... Anyone from Antwerp ? #waterfront in #Antwerp .
Years ago, I bought a Hi-Matic 7s.
Luckily for me, I was able to buy my collection of cameras before the analogue revival happened.
So I was able to buy loads of cameras for around 20 euros each .
It’s always nice to test something out with film ! I always had something to test with in my bag. You don’t actually need much to use a camera.
You’ve got your film, your subject, the aperture and your shutter speed.

Antwerpen, breek de banden! Het Antwerpse stadsbestuur kan niet langer de kat uit de boom kijken. De stad Antwerpen moet alle diplomatieke, economische en academische banden verbreken met de genocidaire schurkenstaat Israël.
Ondertussen kijkt de internationale gemeenschap passief toe hoe Israël openlijk en ongegeneerd zijn voeten veegt aan het internationaal recht en gewelddadige en moordzuchtige operaties voert in alle straffeloosheid op Palestijns en Libanees grondgebied.
Het lijkt ver maar de lijnen lopen tot in onze stad. Want boven onze hoofden en langs onze kades gaat het gewoon door. Via ons luchtruim en onze havens stroomt oorlogsmaterieel naar Israël. Wat eigenlijk letterlijk brandstof voor onderdrukking en geweld is tegen de Palestijnse bevolking en ook een directe aantasting van de soevereiniteit in de regio. Wat daar getest wordt en explodeert, passeert hier.
Toch blijft er via onze havens oorlogsmaterieel naar Israël passeren. Dat is olie op het vuur: het draagt bij aan het geweld tegen de inheemse bevolking in Palestina en ondermijnt de soevereiniteit van buurlanden.
Antwerpen doet alsof het er niets mee te maken heeft en wast zijn handen in onschuld. Maar door relaties met illegale nederzettingen te normaliseren, wordt die onschuld ongeloofwaardig. Onze stad maakt zich schuldig en gooit olie op het vuur, olie die de ontmenselijking van het Palestijns volk aanwakkert en de regio verder dieper in instabiliteit duwt.
De maat is vol. Dit is geen afstandelijk verhaal. Dit is ons verhaal. Wij zijn hier en wij zijn allemaal Antwerpenaar!✊Antwerpen, stop de medeplichtigheid. Maandag komen we opnieuw samen om Palestina centraal te plaatsen. Vergeet Palestina niet en laat je stem horen voor rechtvaardigheid, voor een vrij Palestina en voor radicale solidariteit.
