...targeting #anticapitalists only further proves #capitalism is #unjust and wrong...

»When the Nazis came for the communists, I kept quiet; I wasn't a communist.

When they came for the trade unionists, I kept quiet; I wasn't a trade unionist.

When they locked up the social democrats, I kept quiet; I wasn't a social democrat.

When they locked up the Jews, I kept quiet; I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me, there was no one left to protest.«

Martin Niemöller (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_They_Came)

I’d like to add some modern lines:

When again the #reactionary #bourgeois #registered #queer and #mentallychallenged humans, I kept quiet, I was not (yet) affected nor framed as such.

When again the reactionary bourgeois locked up climate #activists, arabs, #muslims, latinos, human rights activists, open #anticapitalists, destroyed any social transfer systems, welcomed the fascists as friends, and lured us into »just« wars, I kept quiet.

When again #autocracy and #fascism had become normal and usual I learned that all the above had been my brothers, sisters, and every gender in between and apart.

Does anyone have recommendations for uplifting #podcasts about #sustainable #tech, or #anticapitalists who talk about #OpenSource projects as part of the solutions, or something along these lines? Related topics are welcome.

However, I am explicitly not looking for rage bait or doomer podcasts.

I want things that focus on actions people can take now to make the world a better place, without needing approval from any politicians. #DirectAction

Partial Common Ownership: A New Model for Ownership - A new alternative to #capitalist private property

https://www.radicalxchange.org/media/blog/pco-a-new-model-of-ownership/

The main disagreement I have with the article is that voting rights over management of firms should lie exclusively with workers. Besides that, the alternative described should be interesting to #anticapitalists.

The revenue from partial common ownership could be allocated using non-market mechanisms in democratic communities

You may be a capitalist if … - Jeffrey Denny - Medium

He hated a Post front-page story, “In Wis., a vote for Biden or Trump could come down to grocery prices.” “While consumers pay the cost of — and inaccurately blame President Biden for — the price…

@coffeepine I'm still surprised that all these #capitalists haven't figured out how to leverage the #opportunity that the #anticapitalists create. I mean, a market solution to #anticapitalism must, by definition, exist, right? /s

"The #capitalists that come out of the woodworks to say #anticapitalists are “pessimistic” or “refuse to see the good in #people” because they think #capitalism is inherently harmful are so funny to me. THEY’RE the ones claiming that without capitalism the world will die out because no one will work and that without #government people will be murdering each other in the streets.

Like, sorry Bestie but I choose to give #humanity the benefit of the doubt and say that we are naturally cooperative and caring towards each other, and that we naturally want to do things and make the world better. My #ideology says the #system is setting us up for failure and we can break out of it, yours is saying that without the system humans would fuck everything up. Which of us is seeing the worst in people?"

OMNIA SUNT COMMUNIA

"Face the #facts. We are tied to our devices in ways that are incredibly useful for organizing, but that also expose us to isolation should the state and companies take away these technologies. Cell #phones and the #internet rely on corporate infrastructure and is subject to both #government #surveillance and service denial. What do we do when social media bans #anticapitalists and #anticolonialists? What do we do when our cell phones fully become monitoring devices we willingly keep by our side, all to the benefit of state intelligence services? What happens when our cell phone numbers are blocked from service? How will the #revolutionaries continue to #communicate locally, regionally, and internationally?

These are the questions that have been left in the dust, forgotten or ignored in favor of more romantic visions of armed struggle. #People forget; no struggle has ever been successful without robust communication networks that are not subject to state control. From the French #resistance in WWII to the #Zapatistas in the Lacandon Jungle, communications matter!

Here, we will propose ways that you can start building this infrastructure, TODAY. As we slip further into the #fascist future, we must build, lest we be left defenseless and disconnected from each other."

#anticapitalists are not created in the classroom, but by the societal and economic wreckage caused by #capitalism.
