#grammarbut the aggravating lack of finesse in the code here means that false-hits like https://blahaj.zone/notes/ajonn72w5mjd02lr also occur.this is getting really frustrating. i love #Friendica, but atm am in a transitional phase reconsidering staying with it, or returning here to my #Sharkey account... & ironically the prime determinant both ways is hashtags. Friendica is excellent at letting users tightly refine their tag searches to eliminate such false-hits, but i recently learned the code is inefficient thus causes high resource demand on the servers, thus is a major issue for small instances with modest HW. otoh Sharkey seems adept at fetching all my tags no wukkas... just lotsa garbage along with them. gaaaah.

IrishMASMSI hope this is the right place to ask, but there is this TV/Radio antennae plug in our Den - Unfortunately it looks like someone cut the line where it comes out of the house near the old TV antennae mast. Any suggestions on fixing/leveraging this for DTV and/or FM antennae for my component stereo setup that I am planning to put back up? The lower plug on that faceplate is so dam weird..
It appears to be ladderline wiring inside - do I reconnect and use for a FM or Ham radio, or do I use it to pull through some COAX & CAT6 to connect the DTV & FM antennae? 🤔
EDIT: I pulled the faceplate and plug off, and it is ladder line inside. The plug is a Wineguard model T32-U which only had the TV/FM connected the lower UHF plug was disconnected - and neither had the ground connected.

@Crazypedia I've also sometimes noticed the former, & used to be boggled by it. I can't say if i've completely solved it, but i made progress. Afaict, #Sharkey #Antennae use character strings, not merely whole words, so if your intended short word happens unfortunately to also be present within longer words, they will also be captured.
For instance, one of my antenna hashtags is #Arch, as in #ArchLinux, but sadly this means i also catch topics i don't want, like Architecture, Archery, etc. So once i noticed that, i added those unwanted ones to my Filters.
As for the latter, remember that the filters are #CaseSensitive, so eg, if you wanted to block "purple", but someone posted "Purple", your filter would miss it & let that post appear in your Antenna. When i eventually realised this, i tweaked my filters like this... instead of filtering for "purple", i now filter for "urple", thus catching all instances of that string irrespective of word capitalisation.
