Here let me show you one of my favorites from last year. I asked for a two part drawing showing my carpenter ant colony plotting to get past Pica to steal food from the kitchen.

My #Formica #subsericea queen is very skittish and if there is a loud nose or vibrations she runs out of her nest and tries to hide in the water feeder. Only she is much too large for this to work. Poor girl.

My digital drawing of Dottie the carpenter ant. Miss that crazy girl. She would be so excited about all the new eggs and pupae that have just arrived. She was there in the hard days when the colony was small. It's her legacy.
