After driving along two thirds of the coastline, we finally found a spot that fits our needs perfectly: Few people, good snorkeling and not as much trash as usual on Sicily. Nevertheless we have to say that Sicily disappointed us. The first impression proved right: it is too densely populated to offer what we are looking for, the coast is not as nice as in many other European regions and the total lack of environmental awareness is stunning. We will leave earlier than planned.
