Why there's a push to make English an official language in New Zealand

New Zealand might be full of English speakers, but some politicians are pushing for laws to protect the language.

@histoireduquebec Beaucoup trop de chansons #anglophones présentes aux différents postes de #radio aux #Québec et aux autres régions Québecoises.

If people who speak mostly (if not only) #English are #Anglophones and people who speak #French are #Francophones, then what are people who mostly speak #Spanish called?

@AWolfInCheapClothing

Yeah, this is mostly BS.

The moment they lost the #QuebecReferendum in #1995, the leader of the #PartiQuebecois IMMEDIATELY blamed "money and the ethnic vote."

Modern #Quebecois are no better; see #Bill21.

They may be right about the #UCP "wanting an oil based future," (the UCP really are villains from an episode of #CaptainPlanet) but ultimately, the only difference is one group are #racist #Anglophones and the other group are racist #Francophones.
