Just Call Me Angel 😊

It took me years to realise why #ninasimone is so good at covering songs.
It's because she approaches a song like she's the first one who ever sang it, with absolutely no reference to any previous versions.
The wonder is, this approach is practically unique. A very few reggae artists do it, but it's incredibly rare.
This version of #angelofthemorning is case in point.

This is my earworm of the moment. I love this song so much - it's so real and raw.
"If morning's echo says we've sinned, well it was what I wanted now."
Aside from being genius in terms of grammatical tense, this is just a brilliant line in content.
The video's kind of meh, but dang, what a great song.

Such a great article (and I am such a know-nothing: I had no idea 'Wild Thing', 'Angel of the Morning' and 'Anyway That You Want Me' were written by the same person.)
