It feels as though this week has all been about Storm Eowyn which hit much of the country on Friday. It’s been described as impacting the Central Belt but here in the Borderlands it was pretty grim and I’ve seen footage from friends in the Hebrides showing extensive damage. Yet after all the chaos it was a delight to find that the spirit of human endeavour still burns strong with Kelso farmers market ready and open. Kelso is a very bonny town; the central square has an almost Central European feel to it. It’s an historic town with strong farming traditions and the local farming community was out in strength to vent its anger at recent government decisions. It’s also home to “Junction Pool” which is sometimes described as the Holy Grail for salmon fishers. The Rivers Tweed and Teviot - two of the UK’s premier salmon rivers - converge at Kelso and the pool at their confluence is perhaps the very finest fishing in the country (so I’m told). I’m also delighted to have several clients who are based in or around Kelso which means I have the chance to visit regularly. In fact I’ll be back next week. If you want to know more about how Davidson Chalmers Stewart LLP could work with you - whether in Kelso or further afield - please check out our website to see what we do (www.dcslegal.com) or indeed message me directly. #law #lawyer #lawyerslife #scotland #scottishborders #photography
