What Binds Us Together?

As Christians, we should focus on what we share in common rather than harping on what divides us. But that’s just it: What do we share in common?

The Liturgical Pentecostal

One of the #lectionary readings this week is Genesis 29:15-28 - Laban, Jacob, Rachel, and Leah.

There are clear parallels with the #gospel story: as Jacob pursues Rachel, Jesus pursues us and continues to pursue us without giving up.

I wonder though. The #churchFathers often read old testament stories in a more tightly analogical way than that. I wonder what they say about the roles of Leah and Laban.

Anybody?
