Dozens of ultra-Orthodox Haredi Jews took to the streets last night to remove Israeli flags from the streets of their neighborhood in Beit Shemesh, located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

This comes for several reasons, most notably:

Their opposition to zionist ideology.

Their refusal to recognize Independence Day as a religious holiday.

Their view of the flag as a symbol of secularism, which conflicts with their beliefs and ideology.

عدم اعترافهم بيوم الاستقلال كعطلة دينية.

اعتبارهم العلم رمزًا للعلمانية، بما يتعارض مع فكرهم ومعتقداتهم.
