Anachrony, 2 players

Back to some stuff from earlier this month, I've been playing a lot of Anachrony in person and on BGA. This is the time I used the cult faction and they are very tricky; they simultaneously have a requirement to make power plants or time utility buildings and gather as many purple cube as possible, but the buildings they need to build consume these (rare) cubes. So it's a real juggling act. My partner would have beaten me easily here but she doesn't bother to push tempo much in games and usually is more focused on her score.

Last night we played #Anachrony with the guys of our gameboards club. Anachrony is okay, yet it is imbalanced. Being the last in turn of four players translates into a large handicap, and getting the first player token is quite expensive. Some of the leaders make points easier than others and, at the end, only a few tactics prevail successful in making points. I don't think this is a game I'll play again.

Finally played #Anachrony - and phew, what a brain burner! It's fun though, lots of interesting decisions to make which is always a good thing in a game. I got utterly dominated by the Path of Dominance (they won 66-37!) but hopefully I can do better next time now I have a bit more of a grasp on the game! (at least I managed to Evacuate first and clean out my timeline before the end!) #boardgames
