This one is from Age Concern charity shop. Had bad power, but turned out to be leaked battery damage and a sketchy power brick - bargain! 🤩

Ah what a bummer: I own this Amstrad Notpad NC100 for a very long time, over 20 years. Always took good care of it. But I guess you can't avoid some decay of electronics, can you? There is now a small spot on the display, hard to capture on cam. It seems to be a spot where it bulged up. Not sure what that is - maybe just a polarisation filter on top of the display like with Gameboy LC displays? Does anyone know? Has any NC100 (or 150 or 200) owner had this problem before? Is it worth the hassle of trying to fix it? As I'm inclined to let it be and just hope it won't get much worse at least in the near future.
