As Sean Adams wrote for Design Observer, Larsen’s “maverick approach defied traditional and banal Christmas iconography, turning to geometry and a vibrant California palette. Basically, rocks / shells / sand / etc are possibly archaeology or possibly habitats, and anything you leave visible is a mark on a (presumably natural) environment which others might not appreciate.
