Gut. Das Team van Westen hat seit über 1 Jahr ein Preprint offen https://arxiv.org/abs/2406.11738
Die Anhänge dazu enthalten auch Übersichtskarten und zwar für Orte und Tiefen, wo Early Warning Signals vom Kippen der AMOC zu sehen sind.
Hier für Salzgehalt und Temperatur getrennt.
Auffällig auch hier, dass der Cold Blob keine frühe Warnung bietet. Wie in Deinem verlinkten neuen Paper auch gesagt wird.
Aber auch auffällig: Team vanWesten verortet in der mittleren Tiefe von 1000-2000m die besten Regionen rund um den 34. Breitengrad Süd. Nicht im Entferntesten wie in Deinem Paper rund um den Äquator.

Eigentlich geht das Preprint um Wahrscheinlichkeiten-Berechnung eines AMOC Kollapses in diesem Jahrhundert.
"The collapse time is estimated between 2037-2064 (10-90% CI) with a mean of 2050 and the probability of an AMOC collapse before the year 2050 is estimated to be 59 +/- 17%."
