Well, this fort isn't going to nite itself.

#ButShouldntBe

Was down a brief but deep hole playing #ThimbleweedPark which husband had thoughtfully bought and installed. So many classic adventure game feels and no surprise, given that Ron Gilbert is project head along with Gary Winnick. It has great humor, occasionally frustrating but ultimately fun puzzles, engaging characters, and jabs at quote-unquote #AI despite being set in 1987.

Fallout: 76
Revisited due to the recent release of the second series. Haven't played in ages as I'm more of single player quest person than multiplayer events. Didn't take long to play through the new quests before it became a bit boring (somewhat like the TV show).

It's also still horribly bug ridden on PS4 but I guess that is t be expected given how old the PS4 is. Played fine on the PS5.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (Legacy of the First Blade)
Expansion was reduced to the extremely tempting price of £2.99 so I thought I'd revisit the game. Plenty of missions for the price though the original price of £19.99 would have seemed a bit steep.
Weirdly romance oriented with the main character having a child and a few too many unskippable poignant cut scenes. Kept me entertained for about a week though.

Elite: Dangerous (Horizons)
Tried very hard but I could not get into it at all. Persevered due to memories of playing the original but I found it extremely boring. Gave up totally when I required to find some landmines for someone but after days of trawling and using resource finder websites I came up a total blank.
Nice idea, initially appealing but, getting from A to B took so long I would lose interest in why I was going to B in the first place.

Sniper Elite 4: Italia
Second attempt at getting to grips with this game. First time I found it more difficult than I expected. Persevered this time and I even ended up managing to up the difficulty for a second run through as there isn't much to the campaign.
Refreshingly lenient on the restart point when you die, and no real penalty for dying either.Despite the lack of missions there is a good amount of challenges to keep reruns interesting.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Gameplay was the most similar to Origins, which was the first AC I really played. The ancient setting is also a bit more to my liking and so I ended up liking it a lot.
Naval warfare was expanded to be a full feature rather than a mini-game tacked on like in Origins. I could see that being a very good multi-player game in it's own right.
Still an awful lot of talking and following people, these sections should have a 'Skip to the end' button.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
What an enormous game! At least compared to the other AC games I have played. Loads of things to do beyond the main quests, although the main quests seem to have way more 'follow' sections than I would personally prefer. River raids were a particularly fun distraction from the story.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate
Well that was a bit of a weird mash up of all the Ubisoft games I have played to date. Possibly even too much variety even. Good having two characters to choose between.
Having a completely different set of controls to previous games took a bit of getting used to at first but after some research this game was a quite a bit older than the previous AC game I played and marked the end of a set of games before they completely revamped AC.

This is clever—if you install a game on a second device on the same network, Steam can transfer the files from the other PC rather than downloading them across the internet. (I’m sure this is very old news to many, but I’ve never had two devices running Steam on my local network before.) #AmGaming
