โœง Ty Cobb was suspended โœง

Ty Cobb was suspended for ten days during the 1912 baseball season. Cobb was disciplined for beating Claude Lucker, a fan who had been heckling him during the four-game series between Cobb's Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees. Cobb was ejected from the game on May 15, 1912, and American Lea...

Andrew Benintendi of the #WhiteSox currently has the worst OPS (.491 thru 49 games) among qualified players since 1968! The only comparable season in this century is Chris Davis's historically awful 2018 for #BaltimoreOrioles (.539 in 128 games).

Chaim Bloom doesn't get much love from us #RedSox fans, but he was right to trade Beni. My only regret is that he isn't sucking like this for the #Yankees.

The #BaltimoreOrioles TV guy calls Adley "The Fundamentalist," which is a lot more palatable than "Ayatollah Rutschman".

Jackie Bradley Jr. is retiring. He was (is) a joy to watch on defense in the outfield.

Even with all the great diving catches and throwing guys out from CF - YouTube is well stocked with his highlights - this is one of my favorite JBJ feats, because of the NBA-level body control:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtsAOG4akPw

From 400 feet away he instantly knows where the ball is going,
no hesitation,
diagonal route backwards,
not moving too fast (too fast would mean having to stop, wait for the ball, and lose momentum) but still fast enough to appear leisurely when the ball comes down,
runs AT the wall but somehow jumps straight up.

He's already turning his body toward the infield for the throw before he even catches it. I love David Price's reaction too.

That it took a home run away from the Yankees on national TV makes it twice as sweet.

Thank you JBJ!
