This is a "Sundog", or "parhelion" caused by ice crystals and refracting light. As a child I learned about them while reading about the Wars of The Roses and the York brothers "3 suns" in the sky before the Battle of Mortimors' Cross. I looked for decades to see one. Finally, now in my 60's I saw this one in Tucson on 4/24/25
