Another #cyanotype session with some new kids. It's as much fun for me as it is for them. I haven't been around 10 kids this age, so it's funny to see the different personalities, going from shy to confident, from interested, intellectually curious, to "can I play outside?" Two of the girls are going to drive the boys crazy in high school, both cute and extroverted.

#pvaSbQ is the new #alternativephotography process I wanted to try. I went on alibaba and found the only seller of the SbQ powder. So I put in an RFQ for some of the material. The lady sent a message asking where I was from. I told her from the USA and as soon as I hit go her reply came thru. "Sorry gun but we don't do business there". A fair statement sure. But I replied "okay sorry to bother". Well my reply never made it across. She blocked me! #China is choosing to not deal with us anymore.

Il s'agit de deux autoportraits. Ils s'appellent Tout va bien et La procession et ce sont des photos-peintures brodées.
Au verso des deux, il y a également une broderie et un poème secret.

On the back of both pieces, there is also embroidery and a secret poem.

Diablerie, photo peinte de la série Dans la famille enchantée, je demande. Il s'agit d'une photographie ancienne de ma famille côté maternel que j'ai peinte avec notamment une aquarelle dorée. C'est un tout petit format, la taille d'une carte postale.
Ce travail me tient particulièrement a cœur et je le brode aussi. Je pense que j'en ferai un livre avec des récits un pied dans la réalité, un pied dans la fiction.

Devilry, painted photograph from the series In the enchanted family, I ask. It is an old photograph of my maternal family that I painted using, among other things, golden watercolour. It is a very small format, the size of a postcard.
This work is particularly close to my heart and I also embroider it. I think I will turn it into a book with stories that are partly real and partly fictional.
