Being a non-spiritual alterhuman myself. I've often felt like the bridge between the atheist and alterhuman communities in lots of ways. And because of that I have decided to make a flag for non-spiritual alterhumans or what I'm calling secular alterhumans. Since technically there are forms of secular spirituality that don't involve anything supernatural. But anyways, here's my flag. I hope you enjoy it. And also, unlike my other artwork, this flag is completely public domain, and I allow anyone to use it.

Description

Secular-Alterhumans are alterhumans with a lack of belief in the supernatural. This can range from being agnostic to active disbelief in the supernatural. Such as being unsure in the existence of the supernatural, to actively being certain in the nonexistence of the supernatural.

But are capable of possessing a personal mythology for their identity, something that they can like to imagine or hope is real, but not 100% believing it as factual. They are also capable of being into secular forms of spirituality, such as meditation or yoga, without believing it to be supernatural in nature.

The red represents lack of belief. The black represents non-belief. The blue represents belief in oneself. And the white represents a secular worldview. With the atom representing naturalism. While the alt key representing alterhumanity

Emmet (theriotypical on Tumblr) is running:

"an informal survey on how #gender is experienced by folks who identify with #alterhumanity, especially how it’s experienced in relation to alterhumanity. it features questions about #SpeciesDysphoria, #GenderDysphoria, and discourse related to the two topics. if you fall somewhere under the umbrella of 'alterhuman' you are welcome to take this survey, whether you’re #trans or not."

(Hashtags mine.) Emmett notes, "#alterhuman is being defined as an umbrella term that covers #fictionkin, #otherkin, #therians, and any #nonhuman identities in general" (again, hashtags mine. I'm adding 'em since I want more folks to see this post, & that's the only way to make it searchable on Mastodon).

It's open until July 1, 2019. I sent in a survey, & I hope you do, too, & then retoot this post! It's here:
