we had lunch at john boy’s, breakfast really — it’s breakfast-time all day at john boy’s.

i took this pic at noon and the place was empty but when we arrived at 11:30, every seat in the place was taken and we had to wait for a table. (i was told the lunch rush would begin in a minute.)

Bad news: The ride is uneven, like it's bumpy in the back.

Bad news: Bike is ridable but "don't go very far", the rear sidewall gave way.

Good news: Hotel is nearby! Score two for Alpena. Walk the bike back.

Bad news: Rear bike tire pops with a loud bang, just as I was getting to the bike rack.
