Fascinating bit of armchair beer travel. An earlier book by Lars Marius Garshol than his seminal "Historical Brewing Techniques", and you can see his writing style develop here.
Love the descriptions and profiles of ales in this book. My only complaint is that rhere are no recipes- not unexpected, but I always like to see some. Worth reading.
May have to revisit Jovaru yeast now, using some of the descriptions to guide recipe development.
