I've been reading this strange and strangely engaging book in multiple tugs. Tugs,.because I read like a hundred pages.amd then stopped to think,.to get annoyed,.to be in wonder.
The book is about a middle aged woman in a straight relationship with a non-binary kid, who starts a journey of self discovery.
What I find the best is the different light the author sheds on intimacy. The protagonist and her crush don't have sex but are definitely intimate. One time she holds his penis when he pees and another time he inserts a tampon in her vagina ... That is pretty intimate. Made me think a lot about intimacy, romance, levels of connection..
How weird the story gets, it is with humor and well composed. In the end I am happy to have finished it.
