Ambiv0re show

Casa Cafe, Sunday, July 12 at 08:30 PM CDT

Our band Ambivore does rock cover songs and original music. For covers, we do classics like love reign o'er me by The Who, A-Punk by Vampire Weekend, Santeria by Sublime, and so on. However our band is able to learn any song that's asked of them as well, as our members are multi talented in many genres from punk, metal, jazz, singer-songwriter music, funk and so on.

Our original songs are at this point titled riff song, and ethereal song. The form of our songs are incredibly unique, covering a full dynamic range. Our songs mix melodic piano ballads mixed with heavy metal breakdowns.

Admiral Radio + Rianna Marie

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co., Friday, July 24 at 06:30 PM CDT

Award-winning acoustic music from South Carolina returns to Anodyne Coffee with Wisconsin local opener.

ADMIRAL RADIO:

Admiral Radio, the award-winning folkgrass/Americana act from South Carolina, is the creative partnership of Coty Hoover and Becca Smith. Named after their old wooden radio, this husband-and-wife team blends heartfelt harmonies, storytelling, and raw sincerity. Having met while waiting tables in South Carolina's Lowcountry, their sound is straightforward yet powerful—rooted in tight vocal interplay and finely picked acoustic instruments. Inspired by the everyday, their songs explore life lessons, the quiet hustle of ordinary life, and the dogged optimism that drives it all.

Simply put, Becca and Coty aim to leave listeners better than they found them. They have five independently produced albums under their belt, garnering critical acclaim and national radio play. For their next full-length album, the group has officially signed on with Too Fine Records, a new label out of Nashville created by longtime managers of artists like Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors, Ellie Holcomb, Judah & the Lion, and more. The project is set to begin releasing in summer 2026.

Known for their energetic and emotional live shows, Admiral Radio has shared stages with bluegrass legend Del McCoury, folkgrass icon Molly Tuttle, pop-rock sensation Judah & the Lion, and more. They have also earned finalist and first-place honors in prestigious songwriting competitions around the country, including Kerrville NewFolk, the MerleFest Band Competition, Cayamo Soundcheck, and the International Bluegrass Music Association's Official Songwriter Showcase. From humble beginnings to their growing buzz, Admiral Radio is redefining the folk tradition with every mile down America's backroads.

RIANNA MARIE:

Raised among the back roads of Wisconsin, Rianna Marie started writing in the quiet rhythms of rural life. The stories allowed her to step outside her hometown and explore greater depths around her. Now after a few years in Nashville, she’s in the Madison area writing about how our stories intertwine and shape the way we move through the world. She writes often of ephemerality and the fickle nature of moments, relationships, and time. She’s happily shared the stage throughout the midwest with artists such as The Local Honey’s, Emily Scott Robinson, The Spine Stealers and more.

THE TUBS
Upon arriving in the United States for The Tubs’ first tour of the country, frontman Owen Williams told The New Yorker, “We’re here to unite the country. We’re gonna come, like, three times. By that point, I think this place will start healing.” Then, joyously, they did just that, piling into a van and criss-crossing the States, bringing their literary, bleary-eyed, world-weary, night-of-your-life highwire act to the masses when it was needed most. Along the way, they signed to Merge Records, who will release The Tubs’ third full-length album, Hard Life, on September 11, 2026.

The Tubs have never lacked for ambition — on Hard Life, theirs is to complicate the Tub-ullar experience. Having perfected their sound across two albums and hundreds of shows, the London-based Celtic jangle boyband — Williams (vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass), Dan Lucas (guitar), Taylor Stewart (drums), and Max Warren (bass) — push themselves even further into the shimmering heart of virtuosic indie rock. They’re joined by frequent collaborators Lan McArdle (vocals), George Nicholls (guitar), and Rachel Kenedy (keyboards), all of whom have orbited various Tubs and Gob Nation-adjacent efforts dating back to Joanna Gruesome, but the secret to Hard Life’s lushness is the addition of fiddle player Chris Haigh, an instructor and session musician who left an indelible mark on British pop on Steps’ “5, 6, 7, 8.”
