Trump has done it again. The fake photo in the Reflecting Pool.

AGI - For Donald Trump, images generated by artificial intelligence are an irresistible temptation. The latest is a ‘fake-photo’ depicting him alongside high-ranking officials in the Reflecting Pool of the Lincoln Memorial, accompanied by others that fall somewhere between invention and rendering, which compare the past and future appearance of the large pool that occupies the space in front of the monument in the heart of Washington.

In an image posted on Truth, Trump appears with a broad smile, making the thumbs-up sign, lying on a golden inflatable lounge in the company of Vice President JD Vance, also making the thumbs-up sign, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, and Alina Habba, the President’s lawyer, with the Washington Monument in the background.

The Reflection Pool Comparison
Among the other images shared by Trump in recent hours, there are two of the Reflecting Pool full of crystal-clear blue water – “American flag blue,” the post reads – alongside one with the water dirty and full of algae, and a caption stating it was taken in September 2012, during the Obama presidency. The renovation of the pool will cost $1.5 million and follows the large one that occurred precisely during the Obama era, in 2012.

PISSED OFF Judge GOES AFTER Alina Habba

#AlinaHabba is now a senior adviser to the attorney general [assistant to the regional manager] & supervises #US #attorneys around the United States. She has been in the New Jersey office in recent weeks. It is unclear why. Her presence alone would not be inappropriate or out of the ordinary given her position. It is unclear what motivated Judge Quraishi’s questions.

The judge then ordered the 3 leaders of the NJ office, who last week were found to be occupying their positions unlawfully, to appear next month to testify about their office’s leadership structure. Attorney General #PamBondi appointed the unconventional three-person leadership team in December after #AlinaHabba was also found to be unlawfully appointed & was disqualified. The leaders are Philip Lamparello, Jordan Fox & Ari Fontecchio.

The hearing did not go as prosecutors had planned. Judge Quraishi grew frustrated with the office’s head of appeals, Mark Coyne, who had not formally disclosed that he would appear, & fiercely interrogated a more junior prosecutor about whether the former interim #USattorney, #AlinaHabba, still had some role in operating the office.

Judge Quraishi eventually threw Coyne out.

US District Judge Matthew Brann said that a trio of #DOJ lawyers who have been leading the office since late last year had been unlawfully serving in their positions. AG #PamBondi appointed them after Brann disqualified #AlinaHabba, #Trump’s previous choice for #USattorney in NJ, in August amid similar questions over the legality of her appointment.

A federal judge upended the leadership of New Jersey’s US attorney’s office again Monday, ruling for the second time in less than a year that the #Trump admin had illegally sought to bypass #Congress & install its own picks to head the prominent prosecutorial outpost.
