Deep Listening Day #80 — Al Green: The Belle Album (1977). his last great 70s album and a personal fave. not sure about the critical consensus, but I love this album. this marked the beginning of his transition into Gospel Music.

Deep Listening Day #80 — Al Green: Call Me (1973). my favorite #AlGreen album for many years. I've listened to it more than any other. it sounded great again. I found myself singing along through most it. even as a non-believer, Jesus is Waiting moves me every time.

Deep Listening Day #80 — Al Green: Gets Next To You (1971). this opens with a brilliant interpretation of I Can't Get Next to You. Tired of Being Alone is the song that made that drew me into Al Green's world. he soon became my favorite male singer.
