This was taken in the entrance hall of the Albertina in Vienna. Passing through the colonnade flanked by the Wedgwood basalt busts feels epic. The red and golden carpet finishes the grand atmosphere.
One exhibition perfectly fitted this first impression: From Monet to Picasso. The other one I visited was more modern, mostly photography and movies. Its topic was Care Labor in a feminist and postcolonial context. You may ask why it did not fit the atmosphere. Well, just look closely on the second picture, which is a photograph of four works of Marlene Haring. She framed this work with "Die Küche kotzt".
I did appreciate this exhibition a lot due to its well curated creative, provoking and sometimes emotionally touching exhibits.
