I discovered this raptor in the Fingerlakes region by the side of the road. He must have been hungry, he didn't try to flee, and was quite unimpressed by passing cars. I stopped for the filming, but he got nervous when I opened the door, so I had to twist myself to get some decent video footage. I assure you, it's not AI. I'm not an expert, but would consider this a Red tailed hawk. It's cut short, we kept being interrupted by cars.#redtailhawk #raptor #feeding #rodent #ajalexander

This morning 1/1/26, around 1:30am local time, an explosion and fire in the 'Le Constellation' bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, apparently demanded the lives of dozens and left over 100 injured, some with terrible burns. Currently the Police Cantonale de Valais don't have any detailed information, since inestigation is ongoing, but a terroristic act is excluded. I was told...
- It's only an animal, don't make such a fuss
- a deer, so what?
- Don't worry, there's a massive overpopulation of deer
- Do you know how much damage and fatal accidents deer cause annually?
My answer: none. It's the driver's fault who cannot slow down if their life depended on it. Deer don't step in front of cars to commit suicide. They just move within their territory.
