Gonna be kinda interesting, because the Yellow Top #Optima #AGMBattery 34 group has side posts (GM standard), and the battery tray in the #Cherokee #XJ is a bit tight.

Should be ok, but maybe I will have to get CREATIVE with the accessories' wires.

Might also be an idea to do a re-hash of wires, because... 25+yrs on that sucker. But that might be for later. Wires seem fine and do their job, as long as the battery doesn't take a dump on the bed.

Frustrating about Optima going to shit. Blagh.

Update.

Got tired of dealing with #Optima cat n mouse, hot potato, so-called "customer service". Called the online retailer, and got a refund fairly painlessly.

Because refund was in-house, and because *current* consensus among users (including me) about the crankworthiness (it's word, shut up) of the Yellow Top AGMs, I am going to stick with that.
