Five new countries: 🇹🇬 Togo, 🇧🇫 Burkina Faso, 🇲🇼 Malawi, 🇬🇭 Ghana, and 🇹🇿 Tanzania have joined, bringing the total on the continent to 14. 🎉

At the heart of this progress is eduID.africa (by UbuntuNet Alliance & WACREN under #AfricaConnect3), and now more researchers and students can now access global services with one trusted identity.

#Research4Life, UbuntuNet Alliance and GÉANT—with support from the EU and #AfricaConnect3 —are making secure, seamless access to academic resources a reality for institutions across Eastern and Southern #Africa.

Through the Federated SSO pilot, students and researchers in #Kenya, #Malawi, #Zambia, #Uganda can now securely access academic content with their institutional credentials, removing the need for shared passwords and enabling flexible, remote access.

MARWAN, the #Moroccan #Research & #Education #Network, recently welcomed a significant #connectivity upgrade from Rabat to London, where it peers with the GÉANT network with onward traffic to other R&E networks around the world.
