For folks using Affinity Publisher 2 or later, a similar workflow is available for setting styles that have roles attached. Alt text for images can be set in the Tags panel.

Reading order can be set with the Reading Order panel. You’ll need to select Tagged PDF when exporting the PDF (it’s not the default for Affinity Publisher 2).

I had some unlucky timing in trying to migrate from #Adobe to #Affinity. They shut the store down pending a major announcement at the end of October, right after I started my trial. Well, a bit of relief: They re-enabled any trials that were started after September 20th, and bumped them to a full 30 days, so that will get me past the big news, whatever that is. Now I can keep working on my migration in the mean time.

Would you trust a company that closes its entire (free / Europe hosted!) support forum three weeks before a “major innovation” in order to “move” to Discord as its support platform, and then fails to respond to 25 pages and a total of 625 comments of criticism from users (genuine criticism, not just grumbling and aggregated within a bit more than a week )with a single word, and closes the forum anyway?

Würdest du einem Unternehmen trauen, dass drei Wochen vor einer „großen Neuerung“ das komplette (freie!) Support-Forum schließt um auf Discord als Support-Plattform „umzuziehen“ und auf 25 Seiten und insgesamt 625 Kommentaren Kritik seitens der Nutzenden (wirklich Kritik, kein Geätze!) innerhalb von nur etwas über einer Woche nicht mit einer einzigen Silbe reagiert und das Forum trotzdem schließt?

😞 Das dürfte es für #Affinity (#AffinityPhoto, #AffinityDesigner und #AffinityPublisher) gewesen sein? Apps nicht mehr in den App-Stores erhältlich, ebenfalls nicht über die offizielle Website. Dazu Werbemail: „Die kreative Freiheit kommt. Erleben Sie es zuerst. 30. Oktober.“
Zudem wird das Suppoert-Forum geschlossen, weil auf fckng Discord umgeswitcht wird.

Sorry, bei dem Mist bin ich raus.
War leider absehbar, seit #Canva Serif aufgekauft hat. Ich erwarte Abozwang & AI-Dreck am 30. Oktober.
