A few days ago, Mtv closed its TV channel. Known for music videos, some of which were animated. It also made anim TV shows.

Which lead to the first steps of #AdultAnimation as we know it. Legends of TV. And started the careers of some of the top animators out there today.

We need to talk about Æon Flux.

I see a lot of people talking about fighting fascism or discussing #anarchy but no one seems to remember the icon that was Aeon.

I remember watching this episode "Thanatophobia" (S03E03) back in 1995 and this opening scene punched me in the face the same way 30 years later.

If you've not watched ÆonFlux I recommend it. I still hum this to myself all these years later.

It's anarcho-biopunk-core with #CyberPunk elements and much more.

I just found out @internetarchive has a copy of the #AeonFlux animation, from that weird time in history when #MTV was putting up crazy artsy original shows along music.

The '90s were wild.

I recommend the series before the standalone episodes, even if it's not the cronological broadcasting order.
