Keep the Gender Receipt takes place during "mellandagarna" (the in-between days), which are the days between X-mas and NYE, during which there's always plenty of sales here.
Also, the main character is referred to as Marie-Louise and she/her for most of this book before figuring out their new name and stepping into they/them pronouns. I wouldn't call this misgendering, they're just figuring things out, but I just wanted to mention it in case it might bother some readers.
