Happy #caturday to #FediCats, #catsofmastodon , and all who celebrate!
Two loafers on the back of the recliner.
First pic is Freya, who is available to #adoptacat. She's white with tiny black beauty mark on her nose. She would be an amazing only cat, but she pesters one of our other kitties. She likes laps and lickable treats.
Second pic is Weasel, named for this description of "Weasel Help" (http://jacquemarshall.net/words/weasel.html) because she used to climb into the dishwasher and lick plates and bowls when she was a youngster. She's not a lap kitty, but will lie near my ankles when I'm the recliner, and buff them when I'm sitting at the dining room table. She will also reach out when she's on the recliner because the back of the recliner is right behind my chair at the dining room table. She likes scritches, so long as I don't act like I'm looking at her.
2/ Today, Millie Vanillie, the oldest cat in the shelter, nearly 8 years old, has come to live with us and share her life with us.
Millie is the second rescue from the shelter. We have #SissyCat, adopted in September of 2021, and now #MillieCat
Millie spent more than 4 years at the shelter and was there when Sissycat was.
Penny and Millie know each other because since 2021, Penny normally goes to the shelter once per week just to socialize with the cats for an hour or so.
From the Humane Society:
"Congratulations to the sweetest old gal in town, Millie Vanillie 👏🐾
Today was a very special day for Millie. Today is her adoption day, making her the newest family member to a very loving family. They are so excited to bring Millie into their lives and we can’t wait to see what life brings her way. Millie was our oldest cat resident, leaving shortly before her 8th birthday.
Congratulations Millie! 🐾🙏👏"

@arclight 🥺 sorry to hear that. I hope you can find him a good home.
Posting this from the bird site in the hope that somehow someone in Melbourne sees it and is able to give poor Bobby a home.

Bobby's whole life was recently turned upside down in the most heart-wrenching way. This gentle 13-year-old came to Lort Smith after his owner passed away, the only family he's ever known. Life in the Adoption Centre is confusing for him; he's always had a loving home, and he
Adopting an adult cat from an animal shelter is a bit like renting a RPG from Blockbuster for the weekend and choosing to continue the previous save file instead of starting a new one. I am leaping into an adventure that's already underway... and I do not know a ton about what has already happened.
It's been about two years, and I still do not understand a good 2/3 of the things you do, you weird weird cat. I love you, Gracie.
