Un livre intéressant qui décrit un monde aux prises avec l'idée de la guerre, d'une guerre qui arrive, sans savoir aucunement comment la mener. Alors on se fait conseiller par un héros mythologique revenu à la vie, alors que d'autres, bien intentionnés, tentent de limiter les dommages à venir, en sabotant la production potentielle d'armes de destruction massive, pendant qu'un extraterrestre à guise humaine exige le pouvoir absolu.
On n'a pas encore le cul sorti des ronces...

Je termine le second volet de Terra Ignota, d'Ada Palmer en m'exaspérant que le narrateur ne meurt pas, tellement je le trouve détestable. Et pourquoi les pires monstres sont-ils encore vif à la fin du récit ? Madame, Jéhovah...
Sniper est un héros !
Ce n'est certes pas un livre optimiste, ni rassurant, ni réconfortant, tant les thèmes qu'il met en avant sont lugubres et dérangeants.

hybrid havocI have finished reading Seven Surrenders by Ada Palmer. When I finished the first book in the series (https://darkfriend.social/@hybridhavoc/111976712993200601) I said that it felt incomplete without this second one. Now that I have finished it I can say that these are really phenomenal books, especially for anybody that is into political intrigue and sci-fi.
It feels like a more proper stopping place, allowing me to move on and maybe come back to the series at a later date.
