Still getting "This content is not available, please try again" error. I was trying to watch a video from a Mario Party LP playlist, the weird part is that YouTube seems to get caught in an infinite loop of skipping to the next video because it was not able to playback.
I have YouTube Premium (the 13β¬ subscription, not Lite) and I have UBlock Origin disabled for this website.
I'm having a hard time replicating it.
Wait what the fuck?! I'm now getting "Content is not available, please try again later" even though I have YouTube Premium, and I also have UBlock Origin disabled for this website. This error message is an anti-adblocker that is designed to confused you as much as possible, but I have UBlock Origin disabled and I don't think I have other extensions that also block ads (I will double check just to be sure)
Wow... so much for subscribing to YouTube Premium in hopes that I don't have to wait for UBlock Origin to get updated so I can watch YouTube videos without annoyances and headache, and not having to fight against YouTube.
13β¬ per month by the way.
Strange one this evening, two iPhones and two iPads all lost internet access whether on home broadband or mobile data.
Realised that while this was going on, a Firestick on the same broadband was happily streaming a programme with no problems.
Eventually pinned it down, pretty conclusively, to an issue with Adblock Plus, which was installed on all the IOS devices.
Once the app was deleted no further issues.
#Adblock
uh no. close tab. html-load....yeah that doesn't sound like a malware dump waiting to happen....
but you're funny π
Giving AdNauseam https://adnauseam.io a try, as I both hate ads with the white-hot rage of 1000 suns and also like the idea of poisoning their data. I wonder if it works in Thunderbird, too?
Last Sunday, I made my first attempt at offering free digital support to a non-technical crowd. The main focus was to help install ad blockers, but it was also the opportunity to adjust accessibility settings, remove bloatware, and give various tech tips.
It was part of a freeshop event here in Valence, France. I installed 12 ad-blockers and a few alternative YouTube frontend (Tubular) in a few hours, and had some nice chats on digital tools; will do it again π

Iβm not actually sure if this works but If anyone else wants to try it out and give me feedback feel free.
Using Tor to Avoid Ads on YouTube
Configure Tor to use only exit nodes from countries with few or no YouTube ads.
WARNING: Do not try this unless you understand the implications it has for your system wide tor setup. TorBrowser does way more than merely proxy Traffic through Tor, but also prevent #InformationLeakage and block tracking code. This is not a substitute for using the TorBrowser and does not improve your anonymity.
Tor Configuration
Edit /etc/tor/torrc:
ExitNodes {AL},{MD},{GE},{AM}{VN}
StrictNodes 1
Then restart Tor:
sudo systemctl restart tor
FoxyProxy Setup
1. Add a new proxy:
FieldValueHost127.0.0.1Port9050TypeSOCKS52. Set proxy mode to: Proxy by Patterns
3. Add URL patterns and assign them to the proxy above:
PatternPurpose*youtube.com/*Main site*youtu.be/*Short links*ytimg.com/*Thumbnails and assets*googlevideo.com/*Video stream dataytimg.com and googlevideo.com are required β without them thumbnails and video playback will fail through the proxy.
Notes
StrictNodes 1 forces Tor to only use the listed countries β it will stall rather than fall backI turned off #uBlockOrigin just to see what it's like and almost died.
