SERVE

Serve is a sonic statement, a genuine story told by way of unabated riffs, pummeling breakdowns and gut-wrenching hooks. Expect metallic hardcore with old-school and modern influences, ranging from Converge and Slipknot to Fit For An Autopsy and Spirit Box.

This is our purgation, sharing our hopes and griefs with those willing to listen and lose themselves in the moment. We journey into unhealed scars and rip open new ones through playing songs from our EP’s ‘Life Isn’t Lived, It Is Suffered Through’ and ‘Deeper Into The Wound’ as well as our full-length ‘The Light Outlives The Sun’ and more recently on our latest single ‘ An Angel Entombed’.

Dad Magic

Dad Magic is a post-hardcore band from Ghent, Belgium. Their unique blend of post-hardcore with danceable elements creates a surge of energy that is bound to get you moving. With a combination of catchy melodies and snarling vocals, the band guarantees a set full of fun.

Sometimes sincere, sometimes irreverent, always honest.

Rites

DIY, 80’s nostalgia, vinyl and fast guitars: that’s Rites. With four releases including the new record No Change Without Me and over 120 (international) shows to their name, this hardcorepunk outfit is just getting started. Rites is not afraid to speak up about the current state of the world. Influenced by bands such as The Distillers, Dag Nasty and Drug Church, Rites presents high energy hardcore with a punkrock twist.

The evening will also include:

* Stand up-comedy by Jochem van Herwijnen (SPEAR)

* Hardcore lecture by Yordi Dam (Hard Tegen Hard zine)

⚠️ Content warning for video: police violence.

After the fascists where gone, the police escalated the situation anyway by arresting a comrade for making a minor insult towards an officer. Antifascists did not accept this and blocked the police van. The police then resorted to considerable police violence. Apparently their favourite activity, because remarkably enough they usually do this at the end of a demonstration, when everything else has gone well.

Note: The video is blurred, but unfortunately my auto-blur software sees no difference between anti-fascists, fascists, and police. 🤷🏻

Alle opgedroogde tranen is het tweede album van Ulf Ten Aar, het album volgt het proces van afscheid nemen van een langdurige liefdesrelaties en het helen daarvan. In zes composities en een gedicht wordt je in de eerste instantie meegetrokken in overweldigend verdriet en als laatste de vredige acceptatie die bij rouwen hoort. Het album is een donkere tunnel, waar je doorheen wordt geleid door een zijdedun draadje van poëzie, trompet en gitaar. Datzelfde draadje trekt je aan het eind weer terug naar het begin. Een paar uur voordat het album op aarde zal landen mag het publiek het samen vast ervaren. alle opgedroogde tranen wordt van top tot teen (en een beetje extra) doorgespeeld. Mis het niet, want zo rauw en zo voelbaar zal het nooit meer vertoond worden. Als cynische observator beweegt @bendymetall zich door de dagen. Hen archiveert de onuitputtelijke stroom van ascociaties door ze in muziek en poëzie te verwerken. De liedjes die daaruit volgen zijn gemaakt vanuit het diepste van het #acu #acuutrecht #utrecht

Night of Saturday 28th at ACU, we host the festival afterparty and fundraiser for groups doing direct action for Palestine The evening will start with a drag performance by House of Extinction, which is followed by DJ sets from Disco Arabesquo, dilesmavis, DJ Kai, and Vake. Apart from the party fundraiser, Utrecht4Palestine will be collecting donations at their stand: Ramadan Baskets for Bisan scouts / Yarmouk Camp, and Rebuild Nour al-Hayat Medical Center. TOMAR CONTROL

TOMAR CONTROL is a hardcore band from Lima, Peru, active since 2014. Formed with the aim of increasing the representation of female-identifying individuals in a scene traditionally dominated by men, the band brings a vital and urgent voice to hardcore. With a raw, direct sound inspired by late ’80s and ’90s hardcore, TOMAR CONTROL deliver a powerful message rooted in both social and personal struggles. Their lyrics address feminism, P.M.A. (Positive Mental Attitude), veganism, straight edge values, and an uncompromising rejection of all forms of discrimination.

Passed Out

Passed Out bring you the sassy hardcore experience! With WEB OF LIES, they present their debut EP and another handful of danceable tracks with a sometimes playful, sometimes emotional, sometimes combative touch. Since the beginning of 2023, Aleks, Marius, Ana, Fabi and Briegel have been playing shows wherever there is Spezi. After Aleks had already recorded a feature for XOXO on ‘Punisher’, the Cologne-Bonn band released their first own tape in March 2025.
