Don’t get your hopes up. Without access to classified information (for national security reasons as well as political — read Cabinet papers — reasons) the Community Commission will be dismissed as uninformed and proletarian drivel by main stream media (aka #Murdocracy, #StokesMedia, etc.) and decision-makers alike.
Still, stoking the fires of community angst against #secrecy and #politicalObfuscation is not a bad thing at all. #AUKUS ought to be part of the #PublicDebate and the powers that be ought to be held #Accountable for their decisions. Public horse trading for decent social services and the welfare of our environment is worth every battle we enjoin.

GOP-led state legislatures are passing a slate of laws that effectively shield oil & gas companies from legal claims that they are responsible for the destruction & mounting toll caused by #climateChange. 15 laws have either been passed or are currently being debated in 11 states. Together, they threaten to remove long-standing tools for the public to hold corps #accountable.

Israeli soldiers think they can commit genocide in Gaza and then go relax on Brazilian beaches. Now some of them even believe they can silence Brazilians showing solidarity with the victims of their crimes. In this video, one of them is arrested after attacking a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Brazil. A week ago a Brazilian prosecutor issued 3 probe orders after complaints that the Hind Rajab Foundation filed in Brazil against three suspeced war criminals. After our complaints, Israel smuggled one of them out and two are on the run. The time of their impunity is running out.
