A new track is emerging.
Is it #BonkWave or #NotBonkWave? It's got #BlippooBox, #AccessVirus, and #weirdness. A holiday study of found sounds, tones and synthesised harmonies. #ElectronicMusic made in #Linux with #BitwigStudio with lots and lots of #AirwindowsConsolidated and #AirwindowsConsoleH for tone and character.
I've been doing some studio housekeeping - this means recreating drum kits from my sample library as #DrumMachine presets in #BitwigStudio - and after an hour of kit building some noodling is a great source of enjoyment. Especially so when one discovers some nice #TranceTechno happening as a result of my #ShermanikFilterbank preset chewing on a nice #AccessVirus sound from a #ViperVST bass line.
I think I may need to explore this for a while, but first it is time to head to the FMCG retail mines for the day.
I finished a new #ElectronicMusic piece last night. It's more #drum_and_bass made with #Bitwig and features a #VCVRack melodic lead that is a patch based around #Plaits with a #Juno style chorus (all in VCV). The #AccessVirus provides a nice drone. My #SealEggs Nautical Delay rides over the percussion for swashy delay and the #ShermanikFilterbank brings extra grime and dark colouration to a #303 inspired bass line. I had fun making it, but am missing my horn. I am not sure if this is #BonkWave

@gozes @plaimbock I regularly make use of only 3 VSTs, but 2 of those are Windows only (Viper - an #AccessVirus remake and Swam Horns). The other #VST is #VCVRack.

I finally got an Access Virus! It’s a synth I’ve wanted for literally over 20 years, not really made any more (got this used). It's a multi-timbral virtual analog beast. Here's first playing I did with it: three different simultaneous patches using maybe 1/20 of its power, driven by the Deluge. This synth is pretty deep, I’ve a lot to learn.
