This is an EMERGENCY FUNDRAISING ASK for this month Our goal is $8529 by Oct 1st $2600 Hotel $50 Phone $530 Car $300 Food, Gas & Toiletries $1855 June Deficit $1994 July Deficit $1200 August Deficit Ultimately we would like to get into stable housing that isn’t so expensive, but for now this is what we need to survive our housing crisis. We also are seeking stability and have a fundraiser going via GoFundMe that is more of a longer term solution to our housing crisis. LONGER EXPLANATION: In March of 2024, my mother and I were evicted and our lives were thrown into chaos. Hi, I’m Sabi (@SabiLewSounds on all platforms) and I am a disabled multidisciplinary artist who is the sole caretaker for my elderly mother who is also disabled and struggling with dementia. Like so many other people we were living one crisis away from the edge. Our crisis came in Jan 2023 when I lost my only source of income and our housing became unstable. Since then my mother and I have been living in emergency housing paying for a hotel one week at a time. At a rate 3X times than our previous rent rates increase in August. Everyday, I am emergency fundraising for our housing, our food, our car.
