ABIGOR's PETER KUBIK Dead At 49 Years Old
https://metalinjection.net/this-is-just-a-tribute/abigors-peter-kubik-dead-at-49-years-old
Abigor guitarist and bassist Peter Kubik has died at 49 years old. Kubik is one of Abigor's two founding members alongside Thomas Tannenberger, and played both guitar and bass in the band. On Kubik's death, Abigor only offered that he "walked through the gate by his own hand, through his own will."
What a fucking album 🤘
Ulcerate always impress, always. Anyone that knows me, knows I am huge Ulcerate fan.
I can see a toss up between Ulcerate and Abigor at the end of the year for Album of the Year.
Finally! My copy of the new Abigor arrived, and I can get their new sounds in my ears.
So far, not disappointed one little bit.
I feel like Abigor's Verwüstung should more widely be appreciated as one of the early black metal classics. Songs like "Universe of Black Divine" or "Weeping Midwintertears" are absolutely glorious.
A couple of years ago, Explosive Action (on YouTube) described it as sounding like Darkthrone, Mayhem, Kampfar, and Windir mixed as one. Not the point astute description, yet still accurate.
#weeklylastfm for week 33 of 2021
The chart came out very satisfying this week... alright I admit I completed that traffic light pattern with #Grima, #Urfaust & #BlazeOfPerdition after the first two circle covers aligned
