Agi: Mattarella a Firenze, dal giuramento dei carabinieri fino a San Miniato al Monte

AGI - Giornata fiorentina per il Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella che ha assistito, presso la Caserma Felice Maritano, sede della Scuola Marescialli e Brigadieri dei Carabinieri, alla cerimonia di giuramento e conferimento degli alamari di 400 allievi del 15esimo corso triennale, intitolato al Maresciallo Maggiore "alla memoria" Oreste Leonardi.
Mattarella, applaudito da un migliaio di spettatori, è stato accolto dal cerimoniale dei carabinieri, la cui fanfara ha suonato l’inno di Mameli, e dalle autorità militari e civili: tra gli altri, il presidente della regione Toscana Eugenio Giani, il sindaco di Firenze Sara Funaro e il prefetto Francesca Ferrandino, la rettrice dell’Università Alessandra Petrucci oltre a rappresentanti civili, militari e religiosi.
Le autorità presenti alla cerimonia
Presenti anche il ministro della Difesa Guido Crosetto e il Capo di Stato Maggiore della Difesa, il generale Luciano Portolano e Salvatore Luongo, comandante generale dell’Arma dei Carabinieri. Nel corso della cerimonia Mattarella ha consegnato gli alamari all’allievo classificatosi al primo posto del corso.
La visita a Palazzo Buontalenti
La seconda tappa della giornata fiorentina del Capo dello Stato è stata a Palazzo Buontalenti, in via Cavour, dove era in programma una visita privata all’edificio in cui si è appena concluso l’intervento di recupero complessivo degli ambienti, condotto dall’Agenzia del Demanio.
Il Piano città degli immobili pubblici
Si tratta di uno dei beni inseriti nel Piano Città degli Immobili Pubblici di Firenze, sottoscritto con il Comune e l’Università. Palazzo Buontalenti, nel cuore della città, è uno storico edificio dello Stato in uso all’Università Europea EUI e sede della School of European and Transnational Governance.
La tappa a San Miniato al Monte
Ultima tappa la visita, sempre in forma privata, alla Basilica di San Miniato al Monte, accompagnato dall’abate padre Bernardo Francesco Gianni. Il complesso che comprende l’Abbazia e la chiesa è stato oggetto di lavori di restauro e messa in sicurezza durati 18 mesi, dal valore di 3,6 milioni di euro con fondi PNRR, conclusi ieri con l’inaugurazione.

Mattarella, applauded by a thousand spectators, was welcomed by the Carabinieri ceremonial unit, whose band played the Mameli Hymn, and by military and civil authorities: among others, the president of the Tuscany region Eugenio Giani, the mayor of Florence Sara Funaro, and the prefect Francesca Ferrandino, the rector of the University Alessandra Petrucci, as well as civil, military, and religious representatives.
Authorities present at the ceremony
Also present were Defense Minister Guido Crosetto and the Chief of Staff of the Defense, General Luciano Portolano and Salvatore Luongo, commander general of the Carabinieri. During the ceremony, Mattarella awarded the standards to the student who ranked first in the course.
Visit to Palazzo Buontalenti
The second stage of the President’s Florentine day was at Palazzo Buontalenti, on Via Cavour, where a private visit to the building was planned, in which the comprehensive restoration work of the premises, carried out by the State Property Agency, has just concluded.
The City Plan for Public Properties
This is one of the properties included in the City Plan for Public Properties of Florence, signed with the Municipality and the University. Palazzo Buontalenti, in the heart of the city, is a historic building of the State in use by the European University Institute EUI and headquarters of the School of European and Transnational Governance.
Stop in San Miniato al Monte
The final stop was a private visit to the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte, accompanied by Abbot Father Bernardo Francesco Gianni. The complex comprising the Abbey and the church has been the subject of restoration and safety works lasting 18 months, worth 3.6 million euros with PNRR funds, which concluded yesterday with the inauguration.
