The Iron Church, as it is known locally. This old tin tabernacle chapel stands atop a hill, surrounded by beautiful rolling English countryside.

Abandoned for over two decades, the years have not been kind to this wonderful little church. The walls are collapsing; soon it will melt back into the earth.

A decaying and abandoned care home, somewhere in southern England 👴🧓🏽

This residential care home for elderly people, closed in the early 2000s. Although I can find no definite reason reported, it may be related to new access and bathroom rules forced closure.

The day room downstairs has chairs and walls coated in black mould, with plaster chunks scattered across the floor. Upstairs, small bedrooms sat untouched.

A once-bustling ballroom and social venue, now decaying and abandoned. Somewhere in England.

Built in the early 1800s, this ballroom once hosted merchants and traders for dances, assemblies and later weddings. Reopened in the 1960s as a social venue with wooden bars fitted in the side rooms. It closed again in the mid-1990s.

I have visited three times, this spot still remains a favourite of mine 💙

A&E operating theatres in an abandoned hospital.

🏥 North Staffordshire Hospital, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire. Demolished 2021.

The Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit was added in the 1960’s/1970s’, and features three operating theatres of more modern design as well as many wards and treatment rooms. Some of the theatres still had partial power during my visit!
