Hello everybody, I'm Chris, I'm an artist and cosplayer and just migrated from Instagram to this very platform, so the first posts will mostly be stuff from my old social media.
Starting off with my cosplay of King Dedede! I added some detail pictures because you probably didn't notice the KING necklace, the star purse with the Waddle Dees or the cute Kirby pin at the convention 😉

I did a complete remake of his royal mantle, because I didn't like the cheap Amazon Santa coat which I modified back then, and switched to a wine red velvet version with an updated emblem (which was a pain to sew, because the patterns had a great time sliding around on the velvet surface 🫠), but in the end, it was all worth it!

And I have to say, I really like my new gloves, which can be switched from mittens to fingerless gloves using just a few folds! They are the most practical thing at conventions, because you don't need to take them off every other minute to use your wallet or phone (still need to take them off in the bathroom tho). I made them from fleece using a pattern I bought from properfitclothing - if you want to make them yourself, check them out, they even have a detailed tutorial video on youtube!
